JAM - 24 August 2014

We read Mathew chapter 16 (13-20) and did some drama, acting out the scene relating to the reading.  The children then had a discussion about what Jesus means to them, and the meaning behind Simon Peter as the rock, on which the church would be built.  They made cards and decorated them and wrote on the front how they see Jesus, as the Messiah, The son of the living god, Christ, A friend,  and inside they wrote how the love of Jesus could be shared without speaking, some of the suggestions were to be caring, love, listen, be helpful and understanding.  When we returned to church the children showed the cards they made and acted out a short scene at the front of the church.
